1 John 4:4
The “He that is in you”
In first John four four
Is God’s Holy Spirit
Who’s winning the war.
It’s not the old nature
Of flesh still within
That’s crucified daily
Yet shackled by sin.
We’re free from its power –
Now Christ is our life
And He is far greater
Than those in the strife.
Made new in the Spirit
Transformed by His might
We’re certain of triumph
If only we’ll fight.
So don’t be discouraged –
Christ’s cause cannot fall
And He that is in us
Is greater than all.
