Who is the God of perfect light
Whose love has reached to me?
Words can’t begin to tell His worth
Who holds eternity.
He is I Am, the Lord of time,
The uncreated One –
Sufficient in Himself alone,
Not bound to anyone.
His nature at its core is love
Of righteousness and good;
He loves Himself and what will make
His goodness understood.
In grace and mercy He delights –
They work in harmony
With holy justice to reveal
His wisdom vast and free.
His beauty lies in holiness –
Unstained, forever bright;
His glory shines with radiant strength
And hides Him in its light.
This God in love adopted me
To be His child and heir;
Words cannot tell His endless worth
Who keeps me in His care.

Can You Stay?
O can’t you see the darkness
Of sin’s oppressive night
That shrouds the world around us
And blinds them to the light?
O can’t you hear the groaning
Beneath the load of guilt
Escaping from the nations
Where strongholds have been built?
O can’t you feel the anguish
And terror of the grave
Without the hope of knowing
The One whose death can save?
There is no Christian witness,
No church they can attend,
No one to love and tell them
That Jesus is a Friend.
O can you bear to leave them
Without the gospel light
When you have met the Savior
And heaven is your right?
O Lord, Your Name is worthy,
But millions haven’t heard –
Send us to tell of Jesus
And of His holy Word.

The Lord Never Loses a Soul
The Lord never loses a soul that He saves,
The Name on His heart He forever engraves;
No power in heaven, no union on earth
Can change the position bestowed by new birth.
No plan or deception can pluck from God’s hand
The children He loves though they can’t understand –
His working is faithful, His purpose won’t fail,
He’ll finish His work so that grace might prevail.
Though some children falter, the Father is near
To lovingly guide them, to chasten or cheer;
But those who reject Him were never for real
However convincing their promising zeal.
In those who’ve forsaken their sin and believed
In Jesus alone and new life have received,
The Spirit is working and heaven is sure –
Their faith through God’s mercy will grow and endure.

Light Above the Storm Clouds
So often in the valley
When storms sweep all away,
When darkness reigns around us
And turns to night the day,
Then sometimes it is easy
To fail to call to mind
There’s light above the storm clouds
As soon again we’ll find.
Until light breaks upon us
To bring new hope and cheer,
We know that You are with us –
You know each groan, each tear.
For You see just as fully
In darkness as in light,
And clouds can’t block Your mercy
Which finds us in the night.
And someday soon You’ll banish
All darkness, pain, and fear;
You’ll be our light, our sunshine –
We’ll see that You are near.
Lord, till that day of glory
We’ll trust You every day
Because we know You’re with us
Each step along the way.

The Good Samaritan
We call him “Good Samaritan,”
That man without a name,
Who loved his neighbor as himself
And didn’t seek his fame.
He saw a need and went to help
Though others had passed by;
Their good intentions didn’t help
The man about to die.
The good Samaritan knelt down
Upon the dusty road,
With oil and wine he worked to heal
As kindness he bestowed.
When all was done that he could do,
He gave the man his ride
And walked along beside as if
He was the servant-guide.
He reached the town and booked a room
And promised he would pay
Whatever it might cost to cure
The man he’d saved that day.
We see that love costs more than gold –
It calls for time and care,
It means to walk while others ride
If there’s no space to spare.
If you will follow in his steps
And be Christ’s hands and feet,
It’s not convenient, but you’ll find
The rich rewards are sweet.

Because their hearts in unbelief
Were hardened when He came,
The Savior did no mighty works
Though they had heard His fame.
For God has said His eyes look down
To show His mighty care
For those whose hearts are turned to Him
In faith and love and prayer.
Lord, I believe, but still I feel
That unbelief would rise
To quench the flame of faith within
And grieve your holy eyes.
How can I build up faith, dear Lord,
That trusts You day by day?
“Faith comes by hearing, hearing from
The Word of God,” You say.
“These things are written that you might
Believe in Christ the Lord,
And while believing in His Name
Find joy – faith’s sweet reward.”
“Build up your holy faith this way:
Pray, look for Christ’s return,
Keep in the love of God, and tell
The lost where they must turn.”
Yes, Lord, I hear You – I’ll obey,
Please give me faith, I pray,
That You might work on my behalf
And in my life today.
