God Is with Me

God Is with Me

God is above me, very high,
And yet He comes and draws me nigh.
He is beneath with arms of love
To bear me to my home above.

He is before me, He will face
Whatever evils crowd this place.
He is behind me to protect,
Each threat or trouble to deflect.

He is around on every side,
My soul in safety He will hide.
He’s always with me everywhere
To keep me in His loving care.

So whether feelings help or lie
Upon this promise I’ll rely
That “I am with you, do not fear” –
I’ll trust my Lord is always near.
