What would You have me do, dear Lord?
Here, Lord, am I – send me.
Speak, Lord, Your servant hears Your Word.
Your will, Lord, let me see.

I hear you ask, “Whom shall I send?”
And “Who will go for me?”
You look for one who will not bend
Except upon her knee.

You seek for one the gap to fill,
To make the hedge and stand
That You might send Your blessings still
Upon my church, my land.

You call for one who loves Your Word
And spreads its light abroad,
Who testifies of Christ the Lord
And of the love of God.

Lord, here am I, your servant hears
The pleadings of your voice,
If You can look past weakness, years
Then let me be Your choice.

And make me what You want, I pray,
Just what You most desire.
That I might serve You day by day –
Fill me with holy fire.
