These Advent Readings – one for each of the first 25 days of December leading up to Christmas – are a perfect way to prepare your heart and stay focused on the Lord Jesus while you prepare to celebrate His birth.

While compiling these Advent Readings, I’ve felt like a film editor who has hours of fantastic footage but can only use a fraction of it. I’ve tried to use two questions as I picked which shots and angles to use: Which tell us the most about who Jesus is? and, Which are most helpful in showing us how to respond to Him?

It’s been a wonderful experience for me, and I hope it will be for you as you imagine listening to the angels, walking through Galilee, entering the empty tomb, and watching Jesus ascend into heaven.

May you come to know the Lord Jesus better and love Him more as you follow Him through His earthly life in these Advent Readings.
