Psalm 105:1-4
Oh let us thank the Lord
For all the things He’s done
And who He is – the mighty God
Who is compared to none.
Sing praises to His Name
And tell His mighty deeds
That all may hear His wondrous works
And how He kindly leads.
Rejoice in who He is
And glorify His Name –
The God of strength and love and truth
Forevermore the same.
Be glad and seek the Lord,
Search out His works of might;
With all your strength now seek His face
And sing in your delight.

It Wasn’t Me, I Died
It wasn’t me who went today
To show God’s love to you,
I died with Christ – He lives in me –
His life is shining through.
It wasn’t me who spoke that word
Of gospel hope and peace,
I died with Christ – He lives in me –
O, may His praise increase!
It wasn’t me who brought you through
That painful night of fear,
I died with Christ – He lives in me –
Lord, keep the pathway clear.
I cannot glory in results
Or sulk when no one sees,
I died with Christ – He lives in me –
Lord, use me as You please.

When Things Get Worse
Luke 21:28
The world is getting worse and worse
With wars and with disease,
With famine and ungodliness,
With wicked men at ease.
But don’t lose heart, instead look up
Because these signs make clear
That our redemption will be soon –
The day is drawing near.
So, though there’s darkness here rejoice,
And don’t give in to fear –
For Jesus said these times would come
Before He would appear.

“And when these things begin to come to pass,
then look up, and lift up your heads;
for your redemption draweth nigh.”
Luke 21:28
The Fullness of His Love
When He leads me through the valley,
When He hides me in His hand
As the waves are crashing o’er me
Till I can no longer stand,
Then I rest upon His goodness
In the sweetness of His love
And I look for all His kindness
Pointing me to look above.
When He shields me in His mercy,
When He guards me by His grace
From temptation raging round me
In this dark and sinful place,
Then I lean upon His power
Stronger than the strongest pull
And I taste through danger’s hour
All His nature pure and full.
When He keeps me in His kindness,
When He holds me to His heart –
O the blessing of His goodness
And the peace He can impart.
Then I whisper in the stillness,
“Here I am, O Lord, Thine own.”
And He shows to me a fullness
Of His love I had not known.

To Find Each Promise True
How sweet to find each promise true
When tested by great need –
To think, ‘But is it in the Word?’
And find it is indeed.
‘Has Jesus promised strength enough?’
“Fear not, I’ll strengthen you.”
“Christ strengthens me.” “In God is strength.”
“Your strength I will renew.”
‘Has God declared He’s planned my life?’
“Good works for you I’ve planned.”
“Trust me with all your heart – I’ll guide.”
“Your path I understand.”
When I’m in need I’ll seek God’s Word
And search its pages through,
I’ll rest in every promise there
Because I know it’s true.

A See-Through Life
I want to live a see-through life
A window for my Lord
That shows His glories, sings His praise,
And magnifies His Word.
When others see or think of me
I want their eyes to see
Right through my actions and my words
To think of Christ not me.
I must be clean so I don’t block
The beauties of His face;
Each day confessing, I will turn
Again to Him for grace.
When others show me fingerprints
That block His radiant light,
I’ll thank and love them for their help
To make my witness bright.
Lord, show me pride that mars the view
And wash me clean, I pray;
Help me to live a see-through life
That points to Christ each day.
