My Soul, Rejoice in God
My soul, rejoice in God
Who bought you for His own,
Who gives you life and light
And guides you from His throne.
My heart, be glad in God
For all He’s done for You,
For all the love and care
You see each day anew.
My mind, give thanks to God
For all that He has done,
His mighty works of old
And giving you His Son.
My strength, sing praise to God
Who reigns in glorious light
With grace and righteousness,
With goodness, care, and might.
My tongue, proclaim of God
That He is good and true,
Your Savior, Lord, and King
Who loves and blesses You.

“Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.” Matthew 22:37
Dwarfing Giants
The giants we are facing
Can seem so big and strong
That fighting them seems useless
Though they are clearly wrong.
But when we shift our focus
And look at God above
So great in grace and wisdom,
In power, skill, and love,
It changes our perspective –
God’s greatness dwarfs the rest –
And suddenly the giants
Are just a little test.
We’ll bring our stones and slingshot
Or march ’round Jericho,
We’ll face the blazing furnace
Or tell the devil “Go!”
Because our God is bigger
And He will always win,
So, when we’re facing giants,
Let’s only look at Him.

New Year Prayer
If I could ask for just one thing
To crown this year, dear Lord,
I want to know what You are like
For You are my reward.
I want to know You as You are –
Your nature pure and true,
Your thoughts so loving and so kind,
The things You plan to do.
I want to know the things You like
And those that grieve Your soul;
I want to sense when You are pleased
And yield to Your control.
I want to walk with You each day
My constant, faithful Friend;
I want to hear You in Your Word
And spot the gifts You send.
I want to speak to You in prayer
And watch You work for me,
To find Your will and make it mine,
To trust Your guarantee.
I want to know You more and more –
Lord, grant my prayer this year;
For as I seek You, You have said
That I will find You near.

Roles and Titles of Christ
Our God the great Creator
Became a man to die
That He might be our Savior
And King exalted high.
The Promised One – Messiah,
The everlasting Light,
The Alpha and Omega,
The Judge who’s just and right.
The Bread of Life, our Shepherd,
The Truth, the Life, the Way,
The Prince of Peace who conquered
To save His own today.
The Priest, our Intercessor,
The Lamb once sacrificed,
Our Master and Redeemer,
Our Savior Jesus Christ.
He is the Lord, exalted
Above all other things,
Now worshiped, praised, and lauded
The worthy King of kings.
Lift up your voice in singing
And praise His holy Name
Till earth and sky are ringing.
He’s evermore the same!

You Deserve All Praise
Lord, You alone deserve all praise
Because of who You are –
The mighty God of endless days
Exalted near and far.
Lord, You alone deserve all praise
Because of what You do –
You guide us through life’s winding maze
With mercies ever new.
Lord, You alone deserve all praise
And honor evermore –
We marvel at Your mighty ways,
Your kindness we adore.
Lord, You alone deserve all praise –
Accept the love we bring;
To You alone our song we raise
Our Maker, Savior, King.

My Heart Is Full and Grateful
How can I rightly thank You
For all Your gifts of love
So kind and so abundant
Each sent from heav’n above?
How could the largest language,
The longest book proclaim
The richness of Your goodness,
The glories of Your Name?
How could the greatest preacher,
The sweetest singer here
Extol Your strength and wisdom
Which every day appear?
Each day I’ll keep on trying
To say a little more
Of all Your depths of mercy
And then forevermore,
For You alone are worthy
Of honor, glory, praise,
Of worship, adoration
Throughout eternal days.
So, though I can’t express it
In fullness, yet I’d say,
“My heart is full and grateful!”
Accept my praise, I pray.
