If You’ve Lost Sight of Heaven
If you’ve lost sight of heaven
And all its glories bright,
The prize that crowns the faithful
Who reach that land of light,
If you’ve lost sight of Jesus
And all His love for you,
His death and resurrection
With grace that’s always new,
If you’ve lost sight of living
A godly life that’s pure,
That shines for Christ our Savior
Whose Word is true and sure,
If you’ve lost sight of trusting
God’s wise and loving hand,
And resting in His promise
Of all that He has planned,
Then stop and look to Jesus,
Dig deeper in His Word,
And get around believers
Who live the things they’ve heard.
Rekindle through repentance
The Spirit’s mighty flame,
Remember all God’s blessings
And praise His holy Name.
The more you love and seek Him
And live for things above,
The more You’ll know His presence
And find His joy and love.

I Trust You, Lord
I trust You, Lord, with all my heart
For You are good and true;
Your thoughts are kind, Your will endures,
And I can count on You.
I trust You, Lord, with all I am –
There’s nothing I must hide;
You know me well and love me still,
And You are on my side.
I trust you, Lord, with all I have –
I give it all to You;
Please show me how You want it used
And tell me what to do.
I trust You, Lord, with all I want
For You are good and kind;
I place my future in Your hands
And seek to know Your mind.
I trust you, Lord, with all my life –
My strength and love are Yours;
Increase my faith, direct my steps,
And open blessing’s doors.

Do You Have a Worry-Pet?
Some people have a worry-pet
That’s living in their soul,
It seems to keep them company
But quickly takes control.
They let it out to take a walk
And feed it every day,
They play and romp and give it treats
And give the pet its way.
It grows and grows until at last
It’s far too big to lead,
It comes to be the one in charge
And shows its endless greed.
However bad this pet becomes
It gets a pass to stay,
Because they want companionship
And know no other way.
But Jesus comes and says to give
Your worry-pet to Him
Before it drains your final joy
Or pulls you limb from limb.
He wants to be your loving Friend
So faithful, kind, and true,
He wants your good and you will find
He’s always there for you.
He’ll help you come if you have found
Your pet’s too big to bring,
He’ll help you give your fears to Him
And trust in everything.
When worry comes, don’t let it grow,
Don’t give it time and space —
Run straight to Christ, give thanks, and ask
For help and strength and grace.

“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” — Philippians 4:6-7
Lord, Draw Me Close to You
Lord, draw me close to you
To know You more, I pray,
That I might see You as You are
And walk with You today.
Please show me what You love
So I can love it, too,
And help me turn from things You hate
So I can be like You.
Reveal Your thoughts to me
As written in Your Word
That I might learn to think like You
And gain Your great reward.
Transform my heart to want
The things that You desire,
And fill me with Your Spirit’s light –
A never-fading fire.
Fix heaven in my sights
So all I do and say
May lay up treasure safe above
Where nothing fades away.
Lord, draw me close to You
So this will be my aim
That Jesus may be magnified
And I will praise Your Name.

Your Word Upon My Heart
Engrave Your Word upon my heart
And burn it deep within
So it will impact every part
And keep my thoughts from sin.
Reveal its living truth to me,
Illumine every word;
Your Spirit’s teaching is the key
To know what I have heard.
Direct my steps and guard my way
With Scripture as my light
That I might live it day to day
And bring You true delight.
Unveil the love of Christ my Lord
In every verse and line,
And help me see the bright reward
That makes life’s pathway shine.
Repeat its thoughts until my own
Are one with Yours, I pray,
That I might know You as You are
And walk with You each day.

Where all My Hopes Are Built
Yes, I deserve to die,
My sin condemns my soul;
And by myself I can’t escape
Or shake its full control.
But Jesus died for me –
He took my sin and guilt,
He paid my debt upon the cross
Where all my hopes are built.
Now I am free indeed
For Christ has set me free!
He rose again and gave me life
For all eternity.
Henceforth I live in Him
And heed His loving call.
With grateful thanks I praise His Name
For He’s my all in all.
