Only for a While
The wicked sometimes prosper,
But only for a while –
Swift judgment is awaiting
Their final, careless mile.
The godly sometimes suffer,
But only for a while –
The Lord Himself is waiting
To turn it to a smile.
So do not be discouraged
When things seem upside down,
Though patient, God is working
And soon you’ll wear a crown.

The Lord of Harvest
God sends the rain and sunshine
And makes the breezes blow;
He sends the warmth of summer
To make the harvest grow.
He takes the seeds we’ve planted
Across a ready field
And makes them grow and flourish
To give a hearty yield.
Then in the time of harvest,
He sends our daily bread,
Providing in His goodness
For all the days ahead.
We celebrate with gladness
As thankful hearts we raise
To bless the Lord of harvest
In songs of grateful praise.

The Lord Is at Your Side
Throughout life’s winding pathway,
Wherever you may go,
The Lord Himself will guide you
In ways which He will show.
He’ll walk each step beside you
And bear you in His arms,
He’ll guard you and protect you
From all of life’s alarms.
Each day will bring new blessings
With tests He’ll bring you through
To show His care and mercy
With love so deep and true.
He knows your name and loves you,
He is your truest Friend;
And soon He will reward you
With life that cannot end.
So love the Lord completely,
Believe His Word and pray,
And keep your eyes on Jesus
Who’ll keep you day by day.
Today and in the future
I pray He’ll bless and guide,
And help you sense each moment
That He is by your side.

Spring Awakes
While Spring is just awaking
Above the frozen ground
And leaves are slightly breaking
Through buds that kept them bound
While birds are all returning
To sing their happy songs
The earth is gently turning
To where its course belongs
While flower bulbs are showing
Their green above the earth
And everything is growing
To offer hope’s rebirth
Our hearts can join the praises
And lift a joyful song
Which all creation raises
To God so wise and strong
Let’s take some time renewing
Our hope and joy in God
In faith and love reviewing
His beauty spread abroad

As White as Snow
“As white as snow” – How sweet to think
That passage speaks of me
And what the Lord has done within
Because He set me free.
“As white as snow” – How sweet to know
That promise is to me
Of what the Lord will do again –
A present guarantee.
“As white as snow” – How sweet to trust
That’s how God thinks of me
Because the righteous life of Christ
Is all that He will see.
“As white as snow” – How sweet to hope
That’s what’s prepared for me
Where robes of white are always pure
In God’s eternity.

“Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.” Isaiah 1:18
