Elijah’s God Today
Elijah’s God is my God –
He’s just the same today
As when the mighty prophet
Would call on Him and pray.
Elijah’s God is living
Who sent His mighty flame
To show He has no rival
Despite a nation’s claim.
Elijah’s God is caring
As when He gently fed
The prophet both by ravens
And angels when he fled.
Elijah’s God is mighty
As when He stopped the rain
Until the wicked monarch
No water could obtain.
Elijah’s God is willing
To answer as of old
Our hard requests with favor
And blessings yet untold.
Elijah’s God is with us –
He’s still the same today
For those who trust Him wholly,
Who live by faith and pray.
