Tonight in Heaven
Or, When a Sinner Is Saved

Tonight in heaven’s court room
If we could join the throng
We’d see a celebration
And hear salvation’s song

The Savior is rejoicing
His people shout and sing
The angels join the anthem
And heaven’s portals ring

Because a soul has entered
The kingdom of the Lord
And Christ, the One who’s worthy,
Has more of His reward

Blind eyes now see His beauty
Deaf ears now hear His voice
Lame feet can do His bidding
Mute lips can now rejoice

One shackled by sin’s darkness
Is freed to walk in light
Death turns to life eternal
And sorrow to delight

Though we must wait to join them
In golden courts above
We echo their rejoicing
And sing about God’s love
