What Can I Give?

I think of all Christ gives to me –
His life, His home, His love.
He gave Himself to rescue me
Though He is King above.

And then I think, ‘What can I give
To show my thanks to Him?’
Compared to what He has, I know
The best gifts would seem dim.

If all the world were mine to give
With all the stars that shine,
They would not be enough for Him
Whose grace and love are mine.

If all earth’s thrones with all their sway
Were mine to give away,
They would not be enough for Him
Who answers when I pray.

If those are small, what can I give?
What could He want from me?
For I am His by double right –
He made and set me free.

What He desires is mine to give –
My life, my love, my praise.
Lord, these are Yours with all I am
Through all life’s hours and days.
