The Treasures of the Snow
Who keeps the treasures of the snow
And forms each stunning flake?
Who tells the breezes where to blow
Or stops them for our sake?
Who stores the hail and makes the ice
And gives the frost its form?
Who sends the cold by His advice
And guides the winter storm?
Who calls the world to bring their sin
So He can wash it white?
Who washes stains marked deep within
Till snow is not as bright?
It is my God whose wondrous ways
Clothe all the world in snow.
His loving might I gladly praise
Whose cleansing grace I know.
