The wicked try to hide their sin,
But they will not succeed;
For though they seem to for a time,
God will expose their deed.
The righteous when they fall and sin
Confess, repent, forsake;
God will accept, forgive, and heal
For Christ their Savior’s sake.
Will you attempt futility
And seek to hide your sin,
Or like the wise for mercy seek
A fresh start to begin?
