Revelation 5:9 & Romans 10:14
From every place and people,
From every tribe and tongue,
From every scattered nation
God’s praises will be sung.
From Africa and Europe,
From Asia and the rest,
From islands and great cities
The chosen will be blessed.
Before God’s throne they’ll worship
United by His love
In pure, exalted praises
That resonate above.
How will they hear the gospel
Of freedom, life, and light
Unless one goes to tell them
Before the coming night?
Will you be there to worship?
And who will join you there
Because you spoke of Jesus
And showed His loving care?

“And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for Thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by Thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;” Revelation 5:9
“How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?” Romans 10:14
God Sees the Sparrows
I know God sees the parrots
With all their showy words,
He sees the brilliant blue jays
And all the singing birds.
But when He told His people
About His tender care,
He talked about the sparrows
So common everywhere.
He doesn’t only notice
The famous or the wise,
The healthy or the mighty,
The ones who seem to rise.
God cares for all His children,
He watches you and me –
Providing and protecting
With love we feel and see.

“Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God? But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.” Luke 12:6-7
The Law of God
The law of God gives safety
With truth that’s clear and strong,
It guards the path of duty
And keeps the soul from wrong.
The law of God gives freedom
From doubt and guilt and shame,
It lights the path of blessing
With joy and mercy’s flame.
The law of God gives riches
That do not fade or rust,
It gilds the path of praises
For those who seek and trust.
The law of God gives shelter,
A shield from fear and fraud,
It shows the path of progress
And how to please my God.
The law of God gives wisdom,
It teaches me what’s right,
And paves the path of honor
With courage and delight.
The law of God is perfect
Without mistake or flaw –
Lord, help me live each moment
According to Your law.

For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. Romans 8:2
The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: Psalm 19:7a
The law of thy mouth is better unto me than thousands of gold and silver. Psalm 119:72
The Prayers I Forget
My Father remembers the prayers I forget,
He isn’t distracted by all that is near;
He waits till the timing is perfectly set,
And then He reminds me, “You asked for this, dear.”
So when I am anxious about a request,
I’ll think how He’s answered the prayers I forgot;
I’ll trust He’ll remember and give me what’s best
Then lay down the worry and fear that I brought
How sweet to consider what love and what care
Are evidenced freely in answers to prayer!
There’s no one so tender with whom to compare
God’s goodness, compassion, and grace – each so rare.

My Old Receipts
The devil tries to give me
Receipts for all my sin
And tells me I must keep them
To reference once again.
But when the Lord forgave me,
He wiped the record clean –
He cast it out forever
So nothing’s left between.
For Jesus loves and saved me,
He died for me in love,
And now He wants to draw me
By grace to look above.
So I’ll destroy my records
Since God’s are gone for good –
I know that He’ll accept me
Just as He’s said He would.

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9
As far as the east is from the west, so far hath He removed our transgressions from us. Psalms 103:12
In those days, and in that time, saith the LORD, the iniquity of Israel shall be sought for, and there shall be none; and the sins of Judah, and they shall not be found: for I will pardon them whom I reserve. Jeremiah 50:20
He will turn again, He will have compassion upon us; He will subdue our iniquities; and Thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea. Micah 7:19
He’ll Safely Guide Me
The future’s bright before me –
It’s in my Father’s hand,
And He will safely guide me
To heaven’s happy land.
Through storms and in valleys,
Where gentle waters flow,
My Shepherd leads me homeward
Through paths where I should go.
Through days of busy service
And nights where I must rest,
My Master always keeps me
And does whatever’s best.
And so, neath cloud and sunshine,
With joy I trust His way,
For Jesus will receive me
To heaven’s endless day.
