Displayed at the Cross
The Cross displays the love of Christ
So deep and broad and high –
He showed the greatest love of all
In coming here to die.
The Cross displays the grace of God
So rich and full and free –
In giving us His only Son
The greatest grace we see.
The Cross displays the Spirit’s strength
So vast and strong and wide –
That greatest strength that raised the Lord
Is still our constant guide.
What love, what grace, what strength shine forth
From yonder Cross today –
Lord, thank You for the greatest gifts
Which mercy could display.

Twice By Faith Alone
By faith alone a man believes
The gift of God is free,
Without true faith you can’t be saved
And gain eternity.
By faith alone a Christian lives
If he would please the Lord,
Without true faith you can’t please God
And find His rich reward.
Twice over, then, by faith alone
We live by faith not sight,
Because we hope for things unseen
Which God will bring to light.

Looking to the Harvest
The harvest fields are ready
Where millions live and die –
Look up and see them calling,
Look up and hear their cry.
Look up and see the Savior
Who loves them every one
He calls for you to tell them
What He has freely done.
Look up and see the treasure
Which Jesus has prepared
For those who spread His gospel
And proved they really cared.
Look up and see the mansions
Prepared for us above
Then go and bring in others
To share the Savior’s love.
Look up and let compassion
So stir you that you go
To tell the precious story
That millions still don’t know.

The Gospel in Three Tenses
(Past, Present, and Future)
When first I met the Gospel
And bowed my heart to grace,
It canceled all my sin debt
And showed me mercy’s face;
I joined God’s own dear family
His child reborn in love,
And got a place in heaven
Secured for me above.
Now as I live the Gospel
And yield to it each day,
I find that it’s transforming
The things I think and say;
My goals and my ambitions,
My plans and hopes are new,
All things in Christ are different –
It changes all I do.
Then I will claim the Gospel
When every battle’s won,
And it will bear me onward
To hear Christ say, “Well done.”
To heights of joy and freedom,
To depths of love and praise
The Gospel still will lead me
Throughout eternal days.

He Bore the Cross for Me
Oh, what a lot of suffering
My Jesus bore for me –
How deep His anguished misery
Upon that awful tree!
He bore my sin with all its guilt
Alone upon that day;
He drank the wrath that I deserved
And felt God turn away.
He felt the scourge, the thorns, the nails,
He felt the shame, the scorn;
He was betrayed, denied, accused,
Abandoned, hated, torn.
Yet, though He knew that was the cost,
He bore the cross for me –
He chose to give His life for mine
So He could set me free.
Lord, thank You for a gift so great –
Your very life poured out –
So I could trust Your love for me
Without a single doubt.
My life and plans, my words and thoughts,
My works and all my songs
Combine to start the living praise
Which, Lord, to You belongs.

What Jesus Christ Can Do
The blood of Jesus Christ alone
Can wash me white as snow;
The stains of sin He’ll wash away
His matchless grace to show.
The love of Jesus Christ alone
Can make me new and clean;
The habits of the flesh He’ll change,
My soul He will redeem.
The grace of Jesus Christ alone
Can make me fit to come
Before the Father’s throne above
And call His place my home.
The might of Jesus Christ alone
Can make me His and keep
This wayward heart His royal throne;
He shepherds me, His sheep.
The greatest gift I could bestow
Cannot repay His love;
He gives and gives and gives again
And will through years above.
