Spring Awakes
While Spring is just awaking
Above the frozen ground
And leaves are slightly breaking
Through buds that kept them bound
While birds are all returning
To sing their happy songs
The earth is gently turning
To where its course belongs
While flower bulbs are showing
Their green above the earth
And everything is growing
To offer hope’s rebirth
Our hearts can join the praises
And lift a joyful song
Which all creation raises
To God so wise and strong
Let’s take some time renewing
Our hope and joy in God
In faith and love reviewing
His beauty spread abroad

From God with Love
My Bible is a precious gift
Direct from God above
Which I can touch on earth to feel
The substance of His love.
Its pages glow with perfect light
Which guide my steps below;
Its words direct my thoughts to see
The God I want to know.
Its books reveal God’s master plan
That spans each day and year;
Its lines expose His caring love
And tell me He is near.
It is a pledge of One I love,
Of One I cannot see
That He is real and I have hope
Because the Lord knows me.

My Heart Is Full and Grateful
How can I rightly thank You
For all Your gifts of love
So kind and so abundant
Each sent from heav’n above?
How could the largest language,
The longest book proclaim
The richness of Your goodness,
The glories of Your Name?
How could the greatest preacher,
The sweetest singer here
Extol Your strength and wisdom
Which every day appear?
Each day I’ll keep on trying
To say a little more
Of all Your depths of mercy
And then forevermore,
For You alone are worthy
Of honor, glory, praise,
Of worship, adoration
Throughout eternal days.
So, though I can’t express it
In fullness, yet I’d say,
“My heart is full and grateful!”
Accept my praise, I pray.

As White as Snow
“As white as snow” – How sweet to think
That passage speaks of me
And what the Lord has done within
Because He set me free.
“As white as snow” – How sweet to know
That promise is to me
Of what the Lord will do again –
A present guarantee.
“As white as snow” – How sweet to trust
That’s how God thinks of me
Because the righteous life of Christ
Is all that He will see.
“As white as snow” – How sweet to hope
That’s what’s prepared for me
Where robes of white are always pure
In God’s eternity.

“Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.” Isaiah 1:18
The mystery of grace through Christ,
For many years concealed,
Has been laid open, and God’s plan
Has been at last revealed.
One hundred facets are revealed
Each time one is explored;
Each seems more dazzling than the last,
And every time we’re floored.
Though now our eyes are clouded, veiled
We see its lustrous face –
Imagine what eternity
Will show us of His grace.

R ejoice for Christ is risen!
E xalt His Name with me!
S ing of His great salvation
U nearned yet given free.
R ejoice for He has triumphed!
R ejoice for Jesus lives
E ternally exalted!
C laim what He freely gives.
T o him that overcometh
I s pledged a victor’s crown –
O n to the prize before us
N umbered as Jesus’ own.
