When temptation lifts its head,
Jesus Christ is with me –
He is risen from the dead
From sin’s grip to free me.
When I feel like giving in,
Jesus Christ is stronger –
He will help me stand and win,
Sin can lead no longer.
When the pressure seems too strong,
Jesus Christ will keep me –
In His hand I now belong,
Sin cannot molest me.
When the hour of fight is past,
Jesus Christ will hold me –
Heal me from the stormy blast
And in grace reward me.
